Troopers:
Shock Trooper
The Shock Trooper is a light infantry unit whose primary purpose is to capture enemy installations and take out enemy infantry. A Shock Trooper unit is armed with rifles and a case of explosives in case it comes up against heavy obstacles. Keep in mind that the explosives are not very effective. A Shock Trooper can get to its target faster than any other Trooper.
Assault Trooper
Assault Troopers are specially trained to use a more robust arsenal than other Troopers. Their main purpose is to take out squads of heavy vehicles.
Sniper
Snipers are specialist Troopers used for taking out other Troopers at a range, however snipers do not have huge amounts of ammo for there main weapon and are ineffective against vehicles.
SAM Trooper
This Trooper is the walking equivalent of the SWATTER. Its attack is equal to the SWATTER in power, but this unit is slower. However, this is balanced out as the S.A.M. Trooper has longer range, but as with all specialist soldiers his ammo is limited so make sure a supply is secured.
Gunner
The Gunner is a better tank hunter than the Assault trooper, this trooper also carries more ammunition than the Assault, however as with all Troops they are very weak to any form of bombardment, so keep him away from any snipers!
Para
The Paratrooper is the ideal unit for surprise attacks. It has the same armament as the regular Shock Trooper, excepting the explosives. In addition, it is equipped with a parachute so it can exit an airborne plane. These Troopers are slower than Shock Troopers, due to the weight of the parachute.
Robots:
Crazy
This robot is heavily armoured and is armed with a heavy duty mini-gun. due to its large mini-gun and heavy armour this unit is very slow.
CAD
The CAD is an air defence robot based on the design of the Crazy the CAD is slower than its mini-gun wielding friend but packs more of a punch against aircraft.
Drall
The Drall is an anti-ship Robot that is also based on the Crazy, however this prototype can also travel underwater making it a very useful unit if your opponent lays across the sea.
EXP 5
The EXP 5 is a mobile jamming system, it shouldn't be left alone as it only carries a machine gun, this EXP can capture buildings though.
Support Vehicles:
Adder
One of the most defensively centred vehicles is the Mine Layer. It has a mechanism in its base that swiftly digs a hole in the ground, inserts one of two types of mines, and refills the hole. This system allows for quickly creating mine fields. The procedure can be reversed, so minefields can be cleared as well.
Atuin
Transport Vehicles are large trucks in which a number of small vehicles or a couple of heavy vehicles can be stored for transport. Most vehicles, like tanks, don't benefit from transport very well. But for slower units like Heavy Artillery, transportation is the key to efficiency in battle. Be aware that a Transport Vehicle, though slightly armoured, is defenceless in the face of any combat unit.
Oracle
Another common unit on any battlefield, the Radar Vehicle is basically a scanner with wheels attached. The radar dish can pick up information from distant areas. While not as quick or versatile as the Recce Plane, Radar Vehicles are often used when aircraft are too expensive.
Forest Ranger
The Forest Ranger is a specialised industrial machine that can plant and remove patches of forest. Paths can be cleared through woods, or defensive layers of greenery can be thrown up by this unit. Nevertheless, it has no direct combat use.
Surveyor
The Surveyor is not a combat unit. It has no weapons and can easily be destroyed. However, it is equipped with advanced sensor systems that scan the ground the Surveyor is on and transmit the data to the central computer located in Headquarters which then calculates the exact amount of raw resources available in that area.
Bolt
In times of war, energy supplies can not always be distributed easily. If a factory is running out of energy, dispatch a Generator Vehicle. Its batteries can hold enough to build a modest army.
Light Vehicles:
LTT
The LTT is a troop transporter capable of holding 8 Troopers and deploying them quickly and safely to the front line, units are allowed to attack after departing from this vehicle.
Weasel
Infiltrator Squads, often referred to as "Weasels", are very light vehicles that carry a three-man team of infiltrators. They are very fast, and can take an enemy installation by surprise, routing the available resources to their allies. Their armament is very weak, however.
Vortex
Jammer units are one of the more important vehicles an army should contain. As the name implies, Jammers can block enemy radars. The advantage in this is a cover for the movements of the army, along with protection against artillery. Jammers tend to get destroyed a lot, since their field of jamming is small.
Cobra
The Anti Infantry Tank is a special purpose vehicle. Armed with a fast revolving, rapid firing chain gun, its only purpose is to hunt down enemy Troopers.
Termite
Light Tanks are economic tanks. While not being very heavily armed, they make a decent pace and aren't as expensive to build as Combat Tanks. Light tanks are well suited for strike force support.
light Assault
Light Tanks are economic tanks. While not being very heavily armed, they make a decent pace and aren't as expensive to build as Combat Tanks. This Tank is better suited for assaulting the enemy than the Termite.
Swatter
The Anti-Aircraft Tank may not be the nemesis for aircraft, but is is quite effective at short range. A commander sending an attack party would do well to include a few AA Tanks to provide cover.
Blackout
The Light Artillery is a good support vehicle. It fires a light shrapnel grenade that is effective against Troopers and vehicles. With its ranged fire, it is an effective defence against ambushes.
Medium Vehicles:
Privateer
It can carry less infantry than an LTT, it's slower, but it has much better armour and is able to wade right through the enemy fire to deploy heavily armed troops at a point-blank range from their target.
Alguin
Tanker vehicles such as the Alguin are essential to keep your army on the move. Always remember that most units will not move when the fuel runs out, making them easy targets for enemy encirclement and artillery barrages. Not to mention a stalled tank in the middle of the road will make your other units have to go around it! Despite it's importance and relatively heavy armour, the Alguin is not a combat vehicle and it's mg is only slightly useful against infantry.
Ceti
The Ceti is used to supply ammo to your troops. It's a vital unit in prologued fights so consider keeping them out of harm's way.
ANT
ANTs are used to perform small engineering jobs such as building roads, railways, tank obstacles and pipelines. Although they are armed, their main purpose is not to win a battle for you, it's to win the war for you.
MBV
An MBV is the largest construction vehicle and can be used to construct the largest buildings such as nuclear power plants to produce massive amounts of energy and spaceports that allow you to launch units into orbit without using shuttles. It has an average amount of armor but less than an Alguin tanker, don't worry though, the vehicle is incredibly useful and it's not it's mg that will win you the fight.
Cosinus
If their units suffer a decent amount of damage most commanders send them back to their own facilities to repair them back into top strength. However, sometimes these facilities are already overburdened producing fresh troop or sometimes transportation can take a long time. A cosinus is a vehicle that can perform field repairs in those conditions - don't forget to keep them well supplied tough. And remember that they are not combat units.
Vesuvius
A Vesuvius constructs buildings such as factories and mines, it can also perform larger engineering jobs than ants like construction bunkers and turret bases. It can also build stationary units such as turrets.
Nova
Assault
Despite it's name, the assault isn't the sort of tank that should lead an offensive on it's own. It's more fragile than a Nova medium tank but it's also cheaper, faster, and has a weapon that's almost twice as powerful. Use it to punch through enemy lines and quickly deal with turrets and enemy artillery and positions. Make sure to bring backup though, as it doesn't even carry an mg to punish enemy air units that might counter-attack you.
Swatter 2
With a bit more damage and longer range than it's predecessor, the Swatter mk2 is even more effective at destroying enemy aircraft. Unfortunately all these upgrades meant they had to drop the mg so avoid having them face hostile ground units as they don't have any means to fight back.
Hornet
It might not deliver the same damage as a medium tank's main gun, nor the range of artillery, but keep it just a little before the front line and you'll be able to deliver damage with impunity while your own artillery repositions and the enemy tries to pull back before it's too late. Beware enemy air units and limited ammo though!
PS: It can also fire underwater (although what this entails is beyond me)
Hornet II
A bigger missile means more damage and greater range, but even less ammo supplies. Fortunately the extra mg and reduced weight offset this.
Coma
Coma II
Coma III
Heavy Vehicles:
Armadillo
These heavy tanks carry some of the heaviest guns on the battlefield. A Combat Tank has it all: mobility, power, toughness. While not a large threat on its own, a group of three or four Combat Tanks is a force to be reckoned with.
Armadillo 2
An improved Armadillo: Heavier and slower but with an even more powerful cannon with twice the range. The mg was removed since it was considered to be useless in most engagements as the Armadillo is expected to be near friendly air defences.
Trains:
Flux
Burro
Burros allow you to transport helicopters by using railways. While you might think these units are useless at first, they allow your helicopters to conserve fuel getting to where they are needed, and can function as a Helipad when they need to rearm. They also allow you to safely retreat your helicopters if the enemy achieves air supremacy. It's single machinegun is completely useless against most targets, but it's still better than most self-defence MGs.
Judy
Punch
Rotos
Callandor
Similar to Rotos in most ways: It's slightly faster and has 2 instead of one, but they are of slightly weaker calibre and range. It's a bit more expensive as a result
Follow
Capable of delivering massive damage through it's single cruise missile, this unit suffers from extremely limited ammo and is useless at close range. Use it to remove very persistent armoured targets from a distance.
Spear
Spor
If the enemy is using satellites to attack you and you can't build stationary anti-orbital defences, the Spor will come in handy. As with all trains it's restricted to railways, so you should prepare for their arrival in advance.
Light Aircraft:
Arrow
Zeppelin
This big lighter-than-air vehicle can take off and land vertically like a helicopter, but consumes much less fuel and is more vulnerable. It carries light troops, drops paratroopers and has enough air-to-surface weapons to severely punish any foes who neglected their air defence.
Medium Aircraft:
Scope
Argus
Eagle
Vertic
Boomerang
Dominator
Rasak
Predator
Impact
Bang
Butterfly
Heavy Aircraft:
Raven
The raven is a transport plane, it's designed to be able to carry cargo between airfields and drop airborne troops. Very useful when you need to transport resources to far away fronts. A good tactic is to send empty fuel trucks to an airfield an wait for a raven to land with the fuel you need. This saves a lot of time going back and forth hauling fuel and helps make sure your units are well supplied.
Pros:
- Faster than a transport ship and road vehicles.
- Can carry more cargo than most helicopters.
- Can fly at high altitudes and dodge most enemy fire.
- Can drop paratroopers.
Cons:
- As with most air units, it needs ready access to fuel, or you risk crashing and losing all your cargo.
- Requires an airfield to be able to land, which require large amounts of resources to build from scratch.
- Although it's mostly safe flying at maximum altitude, if the enemy catches it during take off or landing it won't hold for long on it's own.
Raven II
Nightcap
Hawk
Timber
Sinner
Helicopters:
Bumblebee
Terror
Armed with dual Machine guns, this helicopter is effective at both transporting and killing infantry.
Tupi
Inca
Ralago
EXP 21
The EXP 21 is a radar-jamming helicopter.
Hovercraft:
Hovercraft
Light Ships:
Medium Ships:
Heavy Ships:
Drones
Boje
Enemy submarines can be very nasty surprise. Hydroacoustic buoys are floating devices designed to weaken this surprise. Each buoy continuously monitors the sea around it, detects any submarine signatures and reports to its owner. Usually several buoys are dropped in succession, forming an area which cannot be passed covertly. Of course, it means literally casting lots of equipment into the water, but it's still cheaper than using ships for consistent long-range patrol over the same area. Hydroacoustic buoy is unlikely to be detected from afar, as it's just one more small unassuming thing in the waves.
Orbital
Shuttle
The space shuttle isn't a combat vehicle: it's light weapons aren't very effective against most units and it's armour won't last long in a fight. It can carry a lot of resources but it's too expensive to replace other units most of the time. It's main purpose is to deploy and refuel orbital craft like satellites.
Primerose
The Primerose is an armed satellite: use it to attack enemy targets at will from a safe orbital position, but remember you will have to refuel and rearm it later.
Terrible
The terrible is the ultimate battle satellite. It can be used to bombard enemy positions safely from it's high altitude. Should it be attacked, it has enough weapons to completely wipe out lesser satellites and most attackers.
Vast
This Communications satellite is an orbital unit designed to discover surface activity. Since the satellite is out of range (and even out of view) of most enemy units, it is ideally suited to monitor enemy operations. Its internal sensor array also allows it to spot enemy satellites.
