The options of the asc configuration file

The configuration file is named ASC.INI for the windows version and ~/.asc/ascrc for the unix version of ASC.

Most options are numerical values. For options that are either on or off the settings are 0 (=off) or 1 (=on)

The options are:

XResolution , YResolution
The screen resolution that ASC uses

MapEditor_XResolution, MapEditor_YResolution
The screen resolution of the Map Editor

ForceWindowedMode
0: run fullscreen
1: run in windowed mode

MapeditForceFullscreenMode
Mapeditor:
0: run in windowed mode
1: run in fullscreen mode

fastmove
1 : you can move units with two mouse clicks (default)
0: you have to confirm the path a unit is about to go, which requires a third mouse click for unit movement

MovementSpeed
The time in 1/100 seconds that a unit uses to move from one field to the next

EndTurnPrompt
confirmation for clicking on the end turn button

SmallMapVisible
0: the wind information is displayed
1: overview map is displayed

UnitsGrayAfterMove
0: units are displayed gray if they can neither move nor attack
1: units are displayed gray if they can not move

AttackSpeed1, AttackSpeed2, AttackSpeed3
Delays in 1/100 sec for the different stages of the attack display

MapZoom
Range: 33 - 100

MapZoomEditor
Zoom for Map Editor; range is 33 - 100

Container.ProduceAmmoAutomatically
Automatically produce Ammo when refuelling units from buildings

Container.FillUnitsAutomatically
Automatically fill every unit after production. If set to 2, units are only filled if the production cost for the ammo is less than half the production cost of the unit.

ToolTipHelpDelay
Time in 1/100 sec for the tooltip help to appear

SmallGuiIconOpensAfterMove
Should the small gui icons pop up under the mouse after a unit has moved? This was done in BI3

DefaultPassword
The (encoded) default password

DefaultSupervisorPassword
The (encoded) default supervisor Password. See Article 32 for more information about the use the supervisor role

ReplayDelay
time between replay moves in 1/100 sec

ShowUnitOwner
Display the name of the player who owns a unit instead of the units description in the main screen

BI3.path
The path to your Bi3 installation. Used for importing maps in the map editor. The path must NOT point the miss subdirectory of you Bi3 installation, but to the main BI3 directory

BI3.interpolate.*
Not used

sound options

Muted
Sound is off, but sound system initialized. Sound can be turned on without restarting

Off
Soundsystem is completely off and cannot be turned on without restarting ASC. This option is useful if you don't want ASC to access you soundcard, to avoid conflicts with other programs accessing your soundcard

MusicMuted
specifies whether music is being played

EffectsVolume
range is 0 - 100

MusicVolume
range is 0 - 100

mouse options

Just use the mouse settings dialog !
