Knowledgebase Article 73
specifying object types The specification of the height of objects is a bit more complex than for vehicles or buildings. Since several objects can exist on a single field, the order in which they are displayed must be specified. Therefore a range of 0 to 255 is used for the height.
- deep submerged objects with height 0 - 29
- deep submerged vehicles
- deep submerged objects with height 30 - 44
- submerged objects with height 45 - 59
- submerged vehicles
- submerged objects with height 60 - 74
- floating objects with height 75 - 89
- floating vehicles
- floating objects with height 90 - 104
- ground based objects with height 105 - 119
- ground based vehicles
- ground based objects with height 120 - 134
- low flying objects with height 135 - 149
- vehicles on low level flight
- low flying objects with height 150 - 164
- objects on medium level flight with height 165 - 179
- vehicles on medium level flight
- objects on medium level flight with height 180 - 194
- high flying objects with height 195 - 209
- vehicles on high level flight
- high flying objects with height 210 - 224
- orbiting objects with height 225 - 239
- orbiting units
- orbiting objects with height 240 - 255
Definition of attributes:
- PhysicalHeight
- Can be used to have a different physical height than the displayed height. The physical height is relevant for object construction and attacking it, the displayed height governs the layer in which it is displayed. Values are 0 (deep subermged), 1 (submerged), 2(floating), 3 (ground level), 4 (low level flight), 5 (medium level flight), 6 (high level flight) and 7 (orbit)
- NamingMethod
- Governs whether the name of the object replaces the name of the terrain. Is needed when displaying the name of the field on which the cursor is - which is really done. Since a mountain or river object completely replaces the properties of the terrain beneath it, it should also replace it's name.
Possible Values are:
- ReplaceTerrain
- AddToTerrain
- UnNamed
- MaxChildSpawnNumber
- For growing objects only: limits the number of child objects that this objects generates. When spawning a child, the spawncounter of the parent is decreased and the child will start with the parent's new spawn number.
